It's based on a MW:DA Phoenix Hawk. The legs are simply the PXH legs, reversed! Looks better that way, IMHO. Other than the wings (from a plastic plane kit), just a little clay & balsa.

Going to have to pick up a few more MW:DA figs & do the other transforms one of these days, eh?

Thanks,

W.

PS - side issue - may as well rant here. It's having people as skilled as that entering the LoTB contests that mean I'll never even bother to try. Why? SCUG, Schriv etc beat me so completely dead it's not worth it. When I run the semi-occasional mini contests on CBT ,we split the submissions up into Green, Regular, Veteran and Elite. That way, everyone gets to feel good about themselves. More than one person entering has told me they were rapt just to get judged in the Veteran class, and we even had someone's children enter, and they could win the green class without worrying about adult competition. Just a pet peeve of mine ...

didn't quite get that last part...

but yes, that latest LOTB contest was broken up into amateur and pro class. (we've gotten so many damn talented germans in the last year, it had to be done  )
so you'd probably end up in the amateur class...
i mean why not compete? it's just for fun anyways
